I am mad as hell, 20 innocent children dead!!!

I don’t remember last time I felt this kind of anger and grief toward anything in my life, not even 9/11 or Columbine.  My wife and I cried today over all the innocent little children that will not be celebrating this Christmas with their moms and dads, only 11 days away!!  What sick lunatic slaughters the purest and the most precious representation of humanity? They were as young as 6 years old, dammit!  They smile at everything and everybody, they have tiny little hands that barely wrap your fingers, they haven’t been corrupted by the society yet, they put on biggest happiest smiley face when they are allowed to wear their little Transformers t-shirt, they run around with their oversized princess and pony book bags.  Just thinking about all the unopened presents underneath their Christmas trees, and thinking about what these parents are going through right now is ripping me apart.  How can anybody be this damn evil? With all the information/classes on tolerance, education, & anti-bullying, how can something like this happen? Already people are out blaming the pro gun group; already people are out blaming the anti-gun group.  Politicians are already setting up to politicize this. I can’t stand people right now.

Here is my simple message to all the lawmakers:

Get these psychopaths that lack empathy toward life off the streets right now!!  I don’t give a crap what you do with them, but I don’t want these maggots anywhere near my family and my kids.  They need to be kept far away from anything that can be used to kill innocent people: guns, cars, Home Depot, hardware stores, lathe, mill, etc…
Its 11pm and they are still going though all the little lifeless bodies in the kindergarden… God, I can’t stand this.

Words fail me. I’m just heartsick.

    • December 14, 2012 at 11:13 pm

I can’t sleep and I’m having real difficult time fighting all the emotion. They just showed picture of crying mother holding an empty child booster seat and I just f’in lost it.

Unimaginably sad and unfortunate. But something should be done to prevent guns from these psychopaths. Why would anyone want to take it out on little kids?!! I cant even imagine what the parents must be going through right now..

    • December 15, 2012 at 10:05 pm

as society, we can deal with and tolerate many types of crimes and criminals, but we have to make a stand on this one, we cannot let this go without permanently fixing the issue. I refuse to settle for another bandage fix to ‘turn the page” on this horrific act of evil.

  3. December 15, 2012 at 8:31 pm

I only pressed like because you said what I would like to but cannot. It is too close to home for me personally. I am lost for words. I will hold all those families in my prayers and know full well there is at least one (though I am quite certain more than that) angel is looking over them now.

If I had a Christmas wish…just one….it would be that all of us who are so outraged all over the world at this incomprehensible tragedy…would not forget as we have in the past with every tragedy…be it natural disaster or other sick twisted intentional act…rather that we all (we are all responsible) actually pray for and act on change….change in how our society is….it is obviously not working. 😦 I’m not talking about gun laws or anything like that (that is not enough) but rather how we all relate to and care for another in every day life. Then and only then do I believe there will be true change and perhaps….just perhaps less sickness roaming free in the world.

    • December 15, 2012 at 10:52 pm

oh Christina, I want to stop watching the news but I just feel all these innocent kids deserve to be remembered, by name and by their faces. I want to go back and correct all my profanities on this blog but I’m just not ready to do that, yet.
I’m so sorry if you are grieving over somebody you may know in the tragedy, and I pray all the victims are safely in heaven right now. All those kids have to be in heaven because they were all so innocent and pure, right?
I started to get angry with people as I started reading some other blogs & comments. Clearly all the people that were chiming in deeply cared about what happend, but there was so much negativity and insults aimed at each other. How can we come together to fix this social/terrorist problem when we are quick to attack each other who want to fix this problem? This event was result of pure evil, and this evil is succeeding at dividing all the good people right down the middle.
The stuff that angers me the most is, I think this could have been preventable. Everybody that knew the dirtbag knew he was screwed up, no empathy, and with psychological issue. I really want these type of people tracked, locked up, or anything other than letting them roam free in our community with a gun/bomb/knife/explosives, etc…

      • December 18, 2012 at 12:03 am

Please don’t correct your words…well I mean if you want to go ahead they are yours, but they were said with feeling, not to be profane…they had a purpose to express the inexpressible. Just my thoughts anyway.

Are those beautiful souls in Heaven? Yes. I believe that with all my heart and soul.

I got angry with people too. Very very angry. I didn’t want to speak out. I was brave enough to ‘like’ a post here and there but those were more for tribute than insulting. And my comment here with you. The way I see it is that as long as there ae people like you and I and so many others I’ve met in offline life and on WordPress who honestly truly care about people and change…then evil simply cannot win. Call me naive…but that’s how I believe and you dear sir….are one of the very very good guys and I am honored to be your friend…to stand up and shout at the word…”We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore!”

        • December 18, 2012 at 10:29 pm

I was definitely torn on the revision but I just had to do it. But I’m glad I had this blog to vent it all out, and I’m so glad you did not get offended.
Believing in heaven is the only way to make any sense of all this, else I would really lose my mind. I want to believe those kids will have the best Christmas ever in heaven, bouncing from cloud to cloud and flying around with little wings 🙂
I think I’m starting to love angry passionate damn-good people who love life. I’m now refocusing my anger on trying to get something done with my area schools and politicians.
I appreciate your ‘like’ hit and I am fully aware of what was on you mind. You know, not all ‘like’ hits are the same 🙂
Your closing comment was perfect, battle evil with bunch of good caring people. I’m very glad we are all on the same team, Christina 🙂

          • December 20, 2012 at 12:34 am

You are one incredible person!! That’s all I gotta say…oh wait…and …Oh YES!! I’m very very glad, honored even, to be on the same team…because as we know…the good guys always win!! 😉

            • December 20, 2012 at 10:42 am

This has been most helpful, just talking this through with you 🙂 And, yes, the good folks aways do win in the end 🙂

  4. December 17, 2012 at 12:41 pm

This was rather very sad, left me speechless when I heard the news. I can relate to what you’re going through.
Those lunatics are heartless people. They will be punished and they will pay the price. For now, a hug and prayers to those who are grieved right now and went through this.

    • December 17, 2012 at 4:20 pm

I got so emotional because my oldest son is the same age as lot of these children. I look at my son and I can’t fathom the thought of seeing him murdered in cold blood. And at the same time I’m thinking of all the parents, that lost their little ones in this tragedy, and I just can’t believe this can happen in our modern time.

      • December 23, 2012 at 4:35 pm

I can understand. Such heartless people.

        • December 24, 2012 at 11:43 am

I would love to get these ‘heartless people’ off the streets asap.

  5. December 17, 2012 at 2:40 pm

Chris, thank you for “liking” my post about this called “Pause.”

I’m glad to see that someone else besides me to call a spade a spade and name the real problem which is EVIL. I agree with you 100 percent. We MUST get these dangerous types in a place that’s safe and humane for them, so we all can go on with our lives and not worry about the crazy birds coming and attacking us.

The problem is, however, how to do this and avoid incarcerating innocent people?? Also, WHERE?? And HOW do we find them, assess them and admit them?? Lots of issues to consider.

    • December 17, 2012 at 4:36 pm

Yeah, I also noticed that on your blog too. Labeling this act as anything other than evil would be a serious denial. I just don’t have any faith that any kind of gun control is going to make a difference. Unfortunately, lot of these lunatics are geniuses and its only matter of time before they will figure out a way to commit even more heinous act of evil. I simply don’t buy the argument that you can fight evil with another gun regulation law, its not that simple. I think once people accept the fact that we are fighing evil, then maybe we’ll start thinking outside the box and come up with a real solution, and not another bandage solution.
Question of how we find these lunatics seems to be fairly easy. Almost everybody that knew this guy knew he was pretty screwed up. And he has a facebook picture posing in a t-shirt that says, “humanity is over-rated’. I think finding these people is the easy part, its what to do with them 😦

  6. December 17, 2012 at 2:48 pm

This was raw and honest and I loved it. And I second every single word.

    • December 17, 2012 at 4:44 pm

I’m assuming you were referring to my version1 of this. I guess you can take NY boy out of NYC, but the profanity and cussing is always there waiting in dorment. Its Monday now and I’ve finally come to my senses and have calmed down, so I decided to take out all the explicit words out of the blog.
I appreciate your comment and I like to believe most of us felt the anger and sorror toward what happened on Friday.

      • December 17, 2012 at 6:21 pm

I was referring to your first draft; I thought the raw emotion was EXACTLY what some of us needed to read. I thought about inserting a few well-placed eff bombs in my post, but my dad reads it and I didn’t want to have to hear him 😉

        • December 17, 2012 at 10:01 pm

yeah, that draft was written in shear anger. Personally, I was hoping everybody in this country was mad as hell like me, but I think most everybody else was overcome with sadness, and not raw anger. I know what you mean about respecting your dad and keeping your blog clean. I had to cleanse mine to have respect for my wife, for when she does read this in the future. I promised her I would lose my ‘NY ways’. Good for you and glad to have you on the good team 🙂

  7. December 19, 2012 at 1:27 am

It must be so hard for any parent to hear such news. I think it’s unfortunate that as a society we too often neglect mental illness. Obviously whoever did this was not even remotely sane. Personally, I definitely think automatic assault rifles should not be legal anywhere, but of course banning them doesn’t make crazy people go away. We have got to start taking mental illness seriously so we can identify the problem before it happens.

    • December 19, 2012 at 4:11 pm

how true. We neglect metal illness which happens to be the the most obvious sign and predictor of future behavior. I’m pretty sure automatic weapons are banned in almost all 50 states, its definitely banned in Newtown, CT. The battleground is going to be drawn on semi-auto weapons like the bushmaster that was used in the shooting. You want to know what my biggest fear in all this? I think all the focus will be on the guns and nothing on the lunatics. I also fear once all the semi auto, military style weapons do get banned, the loonies with start killing with sporting rifles. People are so quick to assume military style guns are so evil and so dangerous, but they don’t realize the alternative options that are readily availble to these killers. Close your eyes and picture what the result would have been if Lanza did exactly the same thing with a sawed off 12gage hunting shotguns. Its illegal to hacksaw the shotgun, but it won’t prevent a lunatic from doing it. We would have had the same death, but with body parts everywhere and all the heads blown off 😦
I am fully convinced there is NO gun law that can prevent Newtown incident from happening again, its just impossible, and it will result in bigger gruesome deaths that may involve explosives, chemicals, or shotshells.

  8. December 19, 2012 at 7:40 pm

Thank you for writing this. My heart hurts and I can’t stop thinking about all of those kids and what they saw and how frightened they must have been and how they were alone with that. It’s just too much. The children who saw this happen and survived. How can they process this when we can’t even make sense of it? Their families. I mean, this is just all so awful

I don’t understand the boy’s mother. Was it that she was so desperate to connect with him that she decided guns would be their thing? They could bond over shooting and collecting weapons? I don’t know, but when your kid is so screwed up, having assault weapons in the house is a recipe for disaster.

Anyhow, I have decided not to post about it because I am just too sad. Glad I got to respond here. I am scared for all of us.

    • December 19, 2012 at 10:00 pm

If I didn’t vent this out, I would have really gone crazy. I think I took this especially hard because I am a parent. I know what you mean about their frightened faces and their last moment before their death, so tragic. I pray for all the surviving children, and may their parents give them enough love to offset whatever evil they might have encountered.
His mother does seem little weird. But some witnesses say she was a very good mother only wanted best for her troubled child. But all the stories seem to imply she might have been a wacko. I guess I would like to know how he broke into her bedroom to kill her. Did the mother lockdown her kid’s room before going to sleep? she knew how dangerous he was. I hope the father and the other son speaks out soon.

Will do I am in NH where the Mother lived just down the street from me 😦 Those poor kids are gone families destroyed because she did not use her HEAD 😦

        • December 22, 2012 at 12:12 am

Thats wild that you lived so close to the mother. Yeah, I just don’t understand what the mother was thinking. She knew how dangerous her son was. Maybe she tried to get his respect by trying to be his best friend? I would think she had her guns locked up. I’m sure we’ll learn lot more in coming days. There are many eyewitnesses saying she was a good mother…weird.

            December 22, 2012 at 12:29 am

Yes well she was getting ready to commit him guess he didn’t like that God he was 20 and had a father but all she did was bad mouth him and he paid out over 200.000 a year to her. 😦

Seems she went to a bar a lot and talked about her problems and she had been away just before he flipped out and shot her. I never heard where they buried him guess maybe it is a secret. A good Mother doesn’t take a son with emotional problem to a range and prepare him for Armageddon 😦 There are a lot of people who have gone off the deep end since the election 4 years ago. She comes from a family with police so weapons were never hard to purchase I am sure I live in NH and can walk in and buy one but I see them as weapons to hunt people not deer for the freezer. Sad all around but horrible for the small babies and brave teachers who did their best to protect them and now their families will grieve forever 😦 I am so heart broken and I know people who have children that never should go near guns and they have them in an open safe it is just crazy so I stay away I sadly would have no problem telling their kid right from wrong
seems parents these days are scared of their children

            • December 22, 2012 at 9:56 am

You are kidding me. The mother was one of those extreme preppers? Its hard to gage what the father’s roll was in all this. He was paying boat load of money to her, but I guess she spent it all on bunkers/ammos/and other prepper supplies? sheesh.
A dead body like Lanza should be completely burned to ashes and thown out at local landfill, thats about the only fitting way to close the book on a trash like that.
I did see lot of interviews and documentaries leading up to 12/21/2012, and there are a lot of disturbing people out there. There was this one mom that was contemplating suicide and killing off her family, too!! We definitely have some social and mental issues going on in this country, and we have to address that.
I tihnk weapons, both legal and illegal, are very easy to get. With so many guns already out there, it raises whole new set of issues when your child goes and visits his friend where for example, the father was in the military or maybe the mother is a police officer. No doubt there are some very good caring people with guns and rifles. I certainly am not going to stop my kids from hanging out with these type of friends, and I’m certainly not going to get into a confrontation with those parents either. Maybe the thing to do is treat this like “safe sex” education in school? I’ll defintely have to educate my kids on the danger and safety rules of a firearm.

Yes she was all of that and ex is a big Exc. in GE

Lots of propaganda, rage, sickness when it comes to simply ; living and loving your life.

I was trained with guns by my ex who was a Nam vet and with his drinking and abuse it got so bad he held a 44 to my head I finally knew he did not love me nor himself he passed out I hid the gun and called the police for the first time in 13 years of being abused by a drunk I was young and just wanted him to love me silly when you see the strong woman I really am but they can do that to you 😦

OH the stories I have yet to tell purely for inspiration to keep on keeping on!

I still have a retraining order on him and have since 1995 he had to AK’s when he left here

woa!! you never told me about that. How does a friendly loving person, like you, get hooked up with a nasty creep like that? Surely there were other signs that he didn’t care for you, before he put a loaded gun on you head… Is there a big shortage of loving caring men out there? that is just terrible and sad, Eunice.
You really do have some amazing stories, which you seem to hide very well behind all those beautiful photos on your blogsite.
Thank God you left him! You need to write about all these amazing strories and all your trucking stories, too.

wow, you serious? just since memorial day of 2012? I think I started following your blog just shortly after that. Glad I’m on the nutsfortreasure bandwagon, you have accomplised ALOT in few short months.
I did see the pictures of your partially white Christmas trail. What a cool experience that must have been, to see the bear and a turkey.
My family and I are having a wornderful & relaxing time here.
I still can’t believe a normal person like you ended up with a creep that abused you like that. Didn’t your mom and your aunt say something? I’m guessing somebody motivated you to move on with your life. Thanks for listening? you kidding me? I love your stories.

                      Thanks Chris

I am trying to write a book you know one to pass out to woman shelters or for all police departments to give to the injured party when they get to a domestic v. call. To let them know that no matter how you think you can’t go on(they tell you over and over you will never do it by yourself)YOU CAN

You are not the only one shocked My Mom and Aunt told me to stay away from him and I did 9 months he stopped drinking and I foolishly being young and wanting my life back believed him. They promise to Never do that again.

I thank you for commenting I know I can not carry the load of the past as it breaks you apart so I am trying little by little to empty it onto paper go away for a retreat and just let go.

Boyfriend was my first love so long ago before all of this happened so life is near about perfect except for the PAST 🙂

Happy New Year Chris to you and yours

Stories coming soon as I am now placing my photography in my new website also have a FB page for it as well

Eun, that is a wonderful wonderful idea! I think you’ll be able to help many that are in similar situation you were trapped in. The things your mom and your aunt told you is 100% correct, I don’t believe a person that is abusive, lyer, or cheater can ever change their way. Background check and researching his past relationships can be an easy indicator.
I know its difficult bringing up these personal topics, and I appreciate you sharing it with me in this slow release rate.
Happy New year to you! Its great that you are carrying lots of hope and energy into 2013.

I’m sooo glad you are doing it as a blog and not just as comment on a random blogger’s website! Because it needs to be captured in a more deserving platform. It will become very useful once you do get it into a book form.

My heart breaks to know that people are capable of such wrong doing and feel they have the right to take away a human beings life, especially of these defenseless children who are innocent victims to this act of reckless endangerment.

    • December 28, 2012 at 9:50 pm

I’m so afraid this is going to happen again. There are really sick people out there and I think we are doing something wrong as a society why we seem to have so many evil doers. I know you recently had to deal with Sandy on top of all this. I hope your recovery is going well.

On your article, I somehow understand your situation that makes you angry and crying for people who lost their life during 9/11. I am Asian (Indonesia, specifically), and I am also feel sorry for their losts. However, angry will not solve anything and we are not judge or God (sorry for mentioning religion section). As long as we do the right thing, do what we have to do, think positive, and remember them in our hearts, we will receive something in a good way. That is all I want to say. May God bless you all. Sorry for my manner words and have a wonderful holiday everyone. ^–^

Thanks for your genuine honesty. I agree anger may not solve anything but I think it will bring attention and get something going.
You were very appropriate for bringing God into this topic, because God is probably the only one that can fix lot of the society related issues. Maybe we should bring God back into our public schools. Thanks for your positive and hopeful comment.

I also think you explained your thoughts on this topic quite well on your blog, too.

thanks,,,this has affected us all….it is too sad.

        • January 4, 2013 at 10:40 am

Do you think its evil to wish evil of similar magnitude upon the perpetrator?

          • January 4, 2013 at 11:06 am

NOPE! It is the way our world works…these people are in more hell than they bring on, I am sure of it…..I do believe in forgiveness and I am sure many people who “should be “IN HELL” ” by our standards will be in heaven because they at a point asked for forgiveness and on the flip side there are some who “we think” are good as gold that will blow hell wide open… a gossip is in the big list of Sin along side of the murderers…..but it is not up to me to decide..thankfully. I hope anyone who harms a child it chopped in bits and fed to pigs while burning and naked….no shame too bad…but I am a human with human emotions…not God. lol I can only rely on Gods word and justice.

I’m with you on all that! I was having some very angy and evil wishes for this Lanza character as this incident was unfolding. No criminal that commits this level of atrocity on innocent little kids should be forgiven!

Thank you for liking what I am writing here in southern CA. It is nice to know when I am thinking and conveying an idea someone is “listening” on your end! 🙂

I agree with you wholeheartedly about that horrid tragedy in CT. I would like to create a petition making it necessary to give a psychological evaluation to someone before selling them a gun to blow something away! I don’t like guns to begin with because few are going to do target practice.

The person that did that to all those sweet kids had mental problems and was doing good to take medicine let alone pull a trigger! I think the right to bear arms should come with a price.
You deserve the right to hold it in your hand if you use it in a fashion that does not kill any one else, unless used for protection, as in a police officer or security guard.

I have already written one petition making financial assistance available to any AMERICAN CITIZEN in the USA, not excluding men without kids and women without kids, as it is now.

You can sign it if you like.

I was a master piano teacher for 20 years and though I couldn’t have kids for medical reasons, being that I have epilepsy, I love kids and stand up for their welfare and the right tot live the best lives they possibly can. They count on us to show them the way and they are innocent.

Today there are too many goofs who watch bang em up shoot em movies that go out and recreate what they see on the screen. We have changing times and that deserves changing laws to PROTECT THE INNOCENT LIKE THOSE CHILDREN IN CONNECTICUT and you and I and millions around the USA.

Well, I figure you must get some awesome inspiration the beauty of southern CA 🙂
The thing with these psychological people is, everybody else in the community know about these people. It’s not that difficult to spot a troubled depressed teenager/man. I hate to profile anybody, but when it comes to my kids I am using whatever human body defense system I’ve got!
I don’t like the idea of people having a gun, but I’m also pretty realistic having lived in the ghetto. If a bad guy has a weapon, I have to have a weapon that is equal or better. I actually purchased my gun after reading about the brutal home invasion case in Vermont that involved rape and murder of two daughters and a doctor’s wife. A gun was NOT my first choice for home defense; we actually wanted to buy a Taser(type of stun gun). But much to our surprise, it is illegal to own a Taser in my own home. Somebody of higher intelligence decided that a fully automatic weapon should be legal but a Taser should be illegal 😦
I think its wonderful that you are doing something about an idea you believe in. I hope your petition is a success and I will definitely stop by to check it out 🙂 I think we have a duty to look out for every young children and single woman w/ children. I can clearly see your love and passion for children, and your petition is very fitting.
I agree there is lots of evil portrayed as “cool” in many of the media formats. I also notice there are lot more “parents” who take young children to a rated R movies and other violent movies, too. Notice I put parents in quotes because I think they are parents in title only.
Did you see the latest law passed in NY by mayor Cuomo? If you ask me if a law like that makes me feel better about any future school shooting incident, I would say it’s a failure. I’m sick to my stomach knowing this incident will happen again, and it will be bigger and worse than Newtown 😦
